Kilcully hosted a Diocesan Camping Seminar on 10 May 1974, one of the many training and Scouting events held at the developing campsite during its early years.
Kilcully hosted a National Orienteering event in 1982, continuing an association with orienteering that stretches back to the campsite's very beginnings
The Cabin as it appears today. Built with the assistance of AnCO in 1985, its external appearance has changed remarkably little over the intervening years.
The South East Regional Jubilee Jamboree was held at Kilcully on 15 May 1987 as Scouting celebrated the Diamond Jubilee — 60 years of the Catholic Boy Scouts of Ireland.
