A Presentation to Former Owners

A special presentation was made at Kilcully in 1976 to Dick and Brenda Murphy, the former owners of the property that became Kilcully Campsite.

Chief Scout J. D. Hally is pictured making the presentation, with Donal Murphy, Kilcully’s first Camp Chief, also present.

The photograph provides an important link between Kilcully’s life as a private property and its new chapter as a Scout campsite. Dick Murphy died later that year, in October 1976, making this one of the last photographs in the Kilcully archive recording his connection with the campsite.
