Scoutcraft at Kilcully

Kilcully hosted the South East Area Competition in 1981, continuing its growing role as a venue for Scout competitions and activities.
Four Scouts from the 2nd Cork (St. Finbarr’s, Doyle Road) are pictured with an impressive camp kitchen constructed using traditional pioneering skills. Pots, pans and mugs are all neatly arranged on a structure made from timber and lashings.
The photograph also provides a wonderful view of Kilcully House and the camping field in 1981, capturing the campsite as generations of Scouts would have known it..
